Effective 2026-10-18
Terms of Use
VanZen is operated by Van Zandt, LLC (“we”), 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801. These terms apply to vanzen.ai and the VanZen assistant. They are effective 2026-10-18. By using VanZen you agree to them.
The early-access form is a request, not a contract for the product and not a promise that you will receive access. We may accept or decline at our discretion.
Subscriptions. Free, Plus, and Pro have the allowances and features displayed at purchase. App Store and Google Play subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple or Google account before renewal under that store’s terms. The store purchase sheet controls the price, billing period, and any eligible introductory offer, including a free trial. Deleting VanZen does not cancel a subscription. Restore purchases is available for eligible purchases. Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases follow that store’s process. Statutory cancellation rights remain subject to applicable law.
Plans bought on vanzen.ai. Plus and Pro can also be bought on vanzen.ai, monthly or yearly, at the price shown at checkout. Stripe processes the payment on its own hosted pages, so VanZen never sees your card, and Stripe Tax works out any sales tax or VAT, which is shown before you pay. There is no free trial on the web. A web plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under Manage subscription in VanZen settings on vanzen.ai; the plan stays until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. If you ask within 7 days of the first charge for a plan, we refund that charge in full. After that we do not give refunds or partial refunds, including for the rest of a period after you cancel. Ask for a refund at the email address in our Privacy Policy. This does not limit any refund or withdrawal right the law gives you. If EU or UK consumer law gives you a 14-day right to withdraw, you can use it; because you asked at checkout for the plan to start at once, the refund is reduced for the days you used. We do not refund App Store or Google Play purchases; they follow their store’s refund process.
VanZen is an AI assistant. It can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated, including about people, news, health, money, and the law. It is not a lawyer, doctor, accountant, or other licensed professional. Output is not professional advice. You are responsible for how you use it. Check important facts yourself.
Do not use Output relating to a person for credit, education, employment, housing, insurance, legal, or medical decisions about them.
Do not use VanZen for unlawful activity, to attempt to disrupt the service, or to submit material you do not have the right to use. That includes child sexual abuse material, unauthorized intrusion into systems, resale or sharing of access, and automated bulk use. Allowances are those displayed at purchase. We may limit abuse. VanZen does not offer unlimited use.
Pictures. VanZen will not make a picture showing a sexual act, pornography, nudity, any sexualized picture of a person under 18, or a non-consensual intimate image of an identifiable person. A photorealistic person is shown clothed. Each picture VanZen makes is marked in the file as synthetically generated. VanZen does not keep your photos or the pictures it makes. You must have the rights needed to submit a photo or to request a picture of a real person, and you are responsible for how you use and share the result.
vMask Chat masks recognized personal details with vMask on your device before processing. Direct Chat, the default start mode, sends typed messages as written. VanZen answers from its own knowledge index first; a live web search goes to Linkup (zero data retention) and a photo to SerpAPI, neither linked to you. Hidden originals behind vMasks stay on your device. We do not use your chats to train a model or to improve VanZen.
Write in my voice. If you add samples of your writing so replies follow your style, add only writing that is yours or that you have the right to use. The samples stay on your device. You are responsible for how you present what VanZen writes, including where rules on authorship or disclosure apply to you.
Content. You retain your ownership of Input (what you submit). To the extent the law allows, we assign Output (what VanZen generates for you) to you. Output may not be unique; other users may receive similar Output.
No use of content. We do not use your chats to train a model or to maintain, develop, or improve VanZen.
VanZen is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost data, lost profits, or decisions you make from VanZen’s output. Our total liability for a claim relating to VanZen will not exceed the amount you paid us for VanZen in the three months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, whichever is greater.
You must be 16 or older.
Mandatory rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer remedies and data-protection rights. A beta acknowledgement does not waive those rights or excuse our legal obligations.
Changes. We may update the service and these terms. We will identify updated terms and their effective date, provide notice of material changes as required by law, and request renewed agreement where appropriate. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. If you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel any renewing subscription through the App Store, Google Play, or Manage subscription on vanzen.ai; statutory remedies remain available.
